The Ministry of Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Google India to enhance the digital promotion of India's tourism destinations. The agreement was signed in the presence of Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi.
Speaking at the event, the Minister emphasized that digital technologies have the power to create immersive experiences, showcasing India's rich cultural heritage and iconic destinations to travelers worldwide. Under the Incredible India initiative, this partnership aims to strengthen India's global tourism presence, expand digital outreach, and position the country as a modern and competitive travel destination.
As part of the collaboration, Google India will provide valuable insights into global travel trends, traveler behavior, and digital engagement to support data-driven tourism marketing. The partnership will also include training and capacity-building programs for Ministry officials, focusing on digital marketing, content creation, campaign optimization, and artificial intelligence (AI) to further enhance India's tourism promotion efforts.
